Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Spend at least two full days to soak in the scenery and activities. Day one: explore the lakefront, visit Puzzling World, and enjoy a wine tasting. Day two: tackle Roy's Peak early (allow 5–6 hours) or take a scenic cruise. If you have a third day, venture into Mount Aspiring National Park for a day hike. Wanaka is also a perfect stopover for one night on a road trip between Queenstown and the West Coast glaciers.
