Truman Track is a short, enchanting walk through temperate rainforest that delivers you to a wild, windswept stretch of the West Coast. This easily accessible track is a favourite for its dramatic coastal scenery – think sculpted limestone cliffs, pounding surf, and the possibility of spotting seals lounging on the rocks below.

- Rainforest Walk: A 20-minute stroll through lush native bush, with nikau palms, ferns, and moss-laden trees creating a primeval atmosphere.
- Limestone Cliffs & Blowholes: The track ends at a viewing platform overlooking rugged limestone formations. On a rough day, watch the sea explode through blowholes.
- Seal Colony: From the platform or the small beach (accessible at low tide), you can often spot New Zealand fur seals basking on the rocks.
- Punakaiki Pancake Rocks: Just a short drive south, these famous layered limestone formations and blowholes are a must-see.
- Paparoa National Park: The track lies within this stunning park, offering numerous other walks and the chance to explore the Fox River Caves.
