Kawarau Bungy Centre

Perched on the edge of a dramatic river gorge, the Kawarau Bungy Centre is the birthplace of commercial bungy jumping. Since 1988, thrill-seekers have been leaping from the historic Kawarau Bridge, suspended 43 metres above the turquoise Kawarau River. Even if you’re not jumping, the energy here is infectious—you can watch jumpers from the viewing platform, grab a coffee at the café, and soak in the spectacular surroundings.
