Lake Dunstan is a shimmering man-made lake on the Clutha River, created in the 1990s for hydroelectricity. Its deep blue waters and dramatic mountain backdrop make it a stunning stop on the way to or from Queenstown. The lake is a hub for water sports, cycling, and wine tourism, with the charming town of Cromwell on its shores.
