Le Bons Bay is a serene, horseshoe-shaped bay on Banks Peninsula, a short drive from Christchurch. It’s a place where the bush meets the sea, offering a peaceful retreat with a stunning pebbled beach, clear turquoise waters, and a laid-back vibe that feels a world away from the city. The bay is named after the French whaler Le Bon, and its sheltered cove is perfect for swimming, kayaking, and picnicking. The surrounding hills are cloaked in native bush, crisscrossed with walking tracks that reward with panoramic views of the Pacific.
