The well-formed loop track is a favourite for all ages and fitness levels, making it the perfect introduction to the region's spectacular alpine scenery.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Most visitors allow 1.5 to 2 hours for the return walk, including time at the summit to soak in the views. The track is doable in under an hour if you're quick, but you'll want to linger. It's an ideal morning or late-afternoon activity, leaving the rest of the day for other Wanaka adventures. The walk is also popular for a quick pre-dinner leg-stretch.
