Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Allow a full day for the Rob Roy Glacier Track. The return hike is about 10 km (6.2 miles) and takes 3–4 hours, plus time to linger at the lookout. The drive from Wanaka to the Raspberry Creek car park takes about 45 minutes on a gravel road (suitable for 2WD in dry conditions). Start early to avoid afternoon cloud cover and to enjoy the best light for photography.
