Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Allocate at least half a day to drive the pass one-way, allowing time for short walks and photo stops. If you're continuing to the West Coast, plan for a full day to enjoy the journey without rushing. Many travellers combine the pass with a night in Wanaka or Makarora before crossing.
