Most visitors spend 1.5–2 hours walking the 7.5 km (one-way) trail from Arrowtown to the Kawarau River. Cyclists can complete it in 30–45 minutes. If you're short on time, a 30-minute stroll along the first section from Arrowtown offers plenty of charm. Combine it with a picnic or a coffee in Arrowtown for a half-day outing.
