Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Whenuakite itself can be explored in a day, but it's best used as a base for 2–3 days to fully enjoy Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach. Combine a morning at Hot Water Beach with an afternoon walk to Cathedral Cove, then spend the next day exploring Whitianga and the surrounding coastline. For a relaxed pace, consider a week to also visit nearby reserves and beaches.
