St James Walkway is a multi-day tramping track through the remote and rugged backcountry of the Lewis Pass region on New Zealand's South Island. This 67 km loop takes you through pristine beech forests, across alpine tussock lands, and along braided river valleys, offering a true wilderness experience. The walkway is less frequented than the Great Walks, providing solitude and a deep connection with nature. It's a classic New Zealand tramp for those seeking an authentic backcountry adventure.
