Kea Point Walk is a short, rewarding track that delivers some of the most iconic views in Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park. Starting from the White Horse Hill Campground, the gentle climb through alpine scrub and tussock leads to a viewing platform where you're face-to-face with the sheer grandeur of Mount Sefton, Mount Cook, and the Hooker Glacier. The walk is named after the cheeky, inquisitive kea – New Zealand's alpine parrot – which you might spot along the way. It's a perfect introduction to the park's dramatic landscapes and a must-do for any visitor.
