Pukaki is a tiny, tranquil settlement on the shores of Lake Pukaki in the Mackenzie Basin, offering spellbinding views of Aoraki/Mount Cook. Suggested Time to Spend
Pukaki itself is a 30-minute to 1-hour stop for photos and salmon. However, to fully experience the lake and nearby Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, plan for a half-day to a full day. If you're staying overnight, you'll have time for stargazing and an early morning walk.
